We have extensive experience in designing for and managing a wide array of species; from giant panda, komodo dragon, marine mammals, freshwater turtles and even fish.
Whatever the species, we apply the same principles of designing for welfare taking into account species' biology and in providing unique experiences for zoo visitors.
The immersive Komodo dragon habitat at Calgary places visitors in a position where they are surrounded on three sides by the dragons, and at the eye level of young children! Meanwhile the dragons have access to natural sunlight year round (despite the freezing outside temperatures!) and a variety of micro-climates and mobile basking spots to encourage activity.
Because our foundation combines exceptional theoretical credentials with practical experience, we can look at habitat design and animal management from a unique and innovative perspective.
